Once a day with clean hands, using a mild soap (Dove, Ivory, Dr. Bronner’s Baby Mild etc.) build a lather, and with the tips of your fingers gently wash the piercing, jewelry, and surrounding skin. Rinse thoroughly with warm water, ensuring all soap is removed, and carefully pat dry with a clean towel.
With clean hands, using a Wound Care/Wash Saline, spray it on your piercing and let sit for 30 seconds. Use a cotton swab to wipe away any foreign material from the entry and exit points of your piercing. Spray the area one more time and gently slide the jewelry side-to-side through the tissue to ensure the saline has made its way into your piercing, then blot dry with a clean towel.
FOR ORAL PIERCINGS:
Using a 50/50 water and Listerine mix or Biotene, rinse your mouth for 30 seconds, careful to make sure you are swishing well around your piercing.
Rinse your mouth out with water after eating, drinking, or smoking.
